First we started with professional makeup by Lea Bookman and then we took the photos.
Pam is BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist working for several Employee Assistance Programmes and Private Medical Insurers providing short-term counselling, one-off interventions and triage.
It was really nice to hear more about Pam’s job and how she helps people.

What problems does your business solve?
I provide counseling support for people from all walks of life who are experiencing anxiety, depression and/or trauma, whatever the reason.
What was your mission at the start of your company?
I used to work in a women’s refuge and I was surprised at the extent to which counseling brought about change in the women who were homed there. From feeling downcast and hopeless, they were able to take charge of their lives, initiate change and begin to build hopeful futures. I trained as a counsellor because I wanted to be able to facilitate that sort of change.
What motivates you to work hard?
The challenge of working out why the client feels worried, low, sad or whatever it is.
If money was no object, what would you do all day?
Write fiction.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Retired!
What is one thing you will never do again?
Go camping
How do you define success?
As feeling fulfilled in what we do.
Who has been your greatest inspiration?
My friend, Vicky, who dedicated her life to helping people, who was unafraid of intimidation and who was enormous fun. She died in 2019, far too soon.

Reverse climate change
